The paradigm of the chivalric books of the seventeenth century was revitalized in the novels of contemporary authors such as Fernández Florez (1885-1964), Álvaro Cunqueiro (1911-1981), Juan Perucho (1920-2003) and Ángel María Pascual (1911-1947). This article analyzes the chivalric rewriting present in The Adventures of the Knight Florestán del Palier (1959) by Wenceslao Fernández Florez.
