This work proposes a method for the study of the books of chivalry considering the visualization of motifs. To do this, it takes up the problem of abstraction in studies based on motifs and then proposes a visualization strategy to overcome this problem. Finally, it shows the possibilities of visualizing motifs by studying the laughter motifs in some books of chivalry, such as Amadís de Gaula and the works of Feliciano de Silva, as the author did in his master’s thesis.
