Ana Zamora and Nao d'amores: «La Tragicomedia de Don Duardos». Scenic resources of the staging and its dramatic function

Abstract

We collect here a small study dedicated to the staging of the Tragicomedy of Don Duardos, by Gil Vicente, in 2006. Ana Zamora directed it for the Spanish National Classical Theater Company. We will comment on Zamora's career as a stage director and director of her company (Nao d'amores), and we will show the scenic resources that she specified in this work, stopping briefly at the textual version. For all this, fluid communication over time with the director and her team, through formal and informal talks and interviews, has been of great help; All of them, always friendly, have provided very useful information.
