This article examines the role of female characters in Tirant lo Blanc (1490) by Joanot Martorell through an interdisciplinary approach that combines literary analysis and computational methodologies. Using the extracted corpus of this chivalric novel, we apply various techniques of text processing, network analysis, and data visualization to explore patterns, character relationships, and the narrative importance of figures such as Carmesina, Plaerdemavida, and the Viuda Reposada. The data obtained reveal the roles and symbolic functions of female characters within the narrative development of Martorell’s work. Therefore, the study proposes a new reading of the novel from the perspective of Digital Humanities, aiming to enhance understanding and complement traditional literary scholarship.
