The importance of chivalric literature in the History of Spanish Literature is manifested through out its subjects, topics, and how they were adapted and re-functioning in other genres of the Spanish Golden Age. This article analyzes the presence of chivalric motifs in El Caballero del Febo by Ortunez of Calahorra, and how they were adapted by Calderon de la Barca in El castillo de Lindabridis.
