Abstract

This article raises a dialogue with the editors of Don Quixote and the Cervantist critics in general (from Clemencín to the present) on several aspects related to the episode of Don Quixote’s visit to the Barcelona printing press (DQ, II, 62). In particular, it reflects on the possible relations established between the Cervantine work and that of Ariosto and other writers of his time.
